Original Recipe: Lasagna Surprise (12 servings) Ingredients1. 0.75 cups of chopped onions 2. 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil 3. 2 garlic cloves, minced 4. 2 (26 oz) jars of spaghetti sauce 5. 1 lb of sausage 6. 16 oz container of cottage cheese 7. 10 oz package of frozen spinach 8. 1lb of shredded mozzarella cheese 9. 0.5 cups of parmesan grated cheese 10. 2 eggs 11. 1lb package of lasagna noodles. Directions1. In a large pan, cook sausage, onion, and garlic in oil. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer for 15 minutes. 2. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, spinach and 1 cup of mozzarella and all of the parmesan cheese and eggs. 3. In a 9x13 baking dish, layer 2 cups of sauce, half of noodles, half of remaining sauce, all of the spinach mixture, half of the mozzarella, then the remaining noodles and sauce. 4. Cover with foil sprayed with cooking spray and bake at 350F for 45 minutes or until hot. 5. Uncover, top with remaining mozzarella. 6. Bake for 15 minutes. 7. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving. Lasagna Surprise (200 servings) 1. 12.5 cups of chopped onions 2. 33 garlic cloves 3. 2 cups of vegetable oil 4. 54lbs (34 26oz jars) of spaghetti sauce 5. 16.75lbs of sausage.
