1. Conduct of Examinations in the Asia Pacific region
Please use this timetable in conjunction with the General Certificate of Education MayJune 2014 Examination Timetable Final. This timetable is for those examinations, with entry code R, timetabled according to your own local time. All centres must adhere to the normal starting time for morning sessions 9.00 a.m. local time and normal starting time for afternoon sessions 1.30 p.m. local time. For these examinations please use: Policy to timetabling international papers (Asia: +6.5 GMT to +9GMT) available on www.edexcel.com/iwantto/Pages/exam-conduct.aspx Please note that Edexcel may use appropriate means to check that these conditions have been adhered to and will take action if there is evidence of any contravention. This could lead to the disqualification of any candidates involved. Centres may start examinations earlier than, or later than, the published starting time for the session without prior permission from Edexcel. However, in order to maintain the security of the examination all candidates must start examinations scheduled for a morning session no earlier than 8.30 a.m. and by 9.30 a.m. and for an afternoon session no earlier than 1.00 p.m. and by 2.00 p.m., except where arrangements have been made for dealing with timetable clashes. Examination centres should refer to the JCQ publication, Instructions for Conducting Examinations in the first instance. Candidates who take an examination earlier than the published starting time shown on the timetable must remain under supervision until one hour after the published starting time for that examination. Candidates who take an examination later than the published starting time shown on the timetable must remain under supervision from 30 minutes after the published starting time for the paper concerned until the time when those candidates begin their examination. When a change is made to the published starting time for an examination it is the responsibility of the centre to inform all candidates affected by the alteration.

2. Subject specific notes

GCE 2008 Science Units If you are submitting coursework to be marked by Edexcel for the following units you are reminded that work must be despatched so as to reach the examiner by 15 May 2014: Biology Units 6BI03 and 6BI06 Chemistry Units 6CH03 and 6CH06 Physics Units 6PH03 and 6PH06 Biology 6BI05 the pre-release scientific article should be given to candidates a minimum of one month before the examination date of Friday 20 June 2014.

3. Key Dates Coursework Submission and Examination Results

The closing date for the submission of coursework and receipt of coursework marks is 15 May 2014. The date for the restricted release of results to centres is Wednesday 13 August 2014. The date for the release of results to candidates is Thursday 14 August 2014.
