Mapping China! In this activity you are responsible for creating FIVE maps of China.

The main resource for this assignment is going to be an atlas, which will be handed out in class and may not be brought home. The maps for China can be found on pages 80-84 in the Atlas. You are responsible for recreating these maps: Natural Vegetation Population Land Use Growing Season Annual Rainfall

In order to get maximum credit on the maps make sure you include: A Key Color!

Hint: I would not use marker because it is too dark. I would use colored pencil. You do not need to press down really hard with the colored pencils, because it takes a while and uses a lot of pencil. Paragraphs When you are done mapping, on a separate piece of paper I need you to answer the following FIVE questions. Each question should be a paragraph (5-8 sentences) and you should use the maps to answer the questions in detail. The only material you should need in order to answer the questions are your maps! Take a moment to really look at your maps and compare them. What do you see? Here are the questions: 1. How does the annual rainfall influence the natural vegetation in China? 2. How does the annual rainfall influence the growing seasons in China? 3. How does land use influence the population in China? 4. How do different regions influence land use in China? 5. How does the annual rainfall influence the population in China? This assignment is worth 100 Points! Each map is worth 10 points (50 points total) Each paragraph is worth 10 points (50 points total)
