SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES

General Stop exposure. Check basic vital functions (blood circulation, breathing, consciousness). By unconsciousness with spontaneous breathing and blood circulation stabilized position. Immediately perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (i.e. heart-lung reanimate cardiac massage, artificial respiration) by blood circulation and breathe stopping. Immediately obtain medical attention. Remove victim to fresh air. If breathing is difficult administer oxygen. If not breathing, have qualified person give artificial respiration. Obtain medical attention. In case of skin contact with cold liquid, treat for frostbite if necessary by gently warming affected areas. Immediately flush skin with plenty of water while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Anti shock measures. Consult a physician immediately. Wash with plenty of water, gently and thoroughly for at least 15 minutes, even below eyelids to ensure complete flushing of eye surface. Use warm water. Obtain immediate medical attention. Consult an ophthalmologist. Do not ware contact lenses during work. If an affected victim has spasms, is unconscious or falls unconscious, do not induce vomiting. If an affected victim is not unconscious, let a person drink about 1/4 l of water. After spontaneous vomiting repeat

Note to Physician

No specific antidote, treat symptomatically Treat unconsciousness, frostbite, nausea, hypotension, seizures and cardiac arrhythmia in the conventional manner. Sympathomimetics and catecholamines should be avoid or used with caution (lowest effective dose) because of possible cardiac sensitization. Administer oxygen by mask if there is respiratory distress. Treatment of overexposure should be direct at controlling the symptoms and clinical condition of a patient. After adequate first aid, no further treatment is necessary unless symptoms reappear.

SECTION 5: FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Flammable Properties Extremely flammable, Gas/air mixtures are explosive. High risk of fire in case of leakage. The gas is heavier than air and may travel along the ground ignition possible. Small fire - dry powder (ABC), CO2, Large fire - water mist, eventually water spray DO NOT USE FOAM.

Extinguishing Media Extinguishing Media (which shall not be used for safety reasons) Hazardous Combustion Products

Protective Equipment/Clothing Fire Fighting Guidance

Coplete combustion may proceede: carbon dioxide, water vapour Incomplete combustion may proceed: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and/or low molecular weight hydrocarbons aldehides and ketones. Danger of polymerisation after heating and after action of air oxygen explosive character of polymerisation Self-contained breathing apparatus and complete protective clothing Keep unnecessary personnel away. Combat fire from a maximum distance and sheltered position. Avoid inhaling any smoke and combustion materials. Immediately whit draws in case of fire and container venting or heat discoloration of a container.

SECTION 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Extra personal protection Environmental precautions Complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus. Prevent from entering environment and drains. If major spillage occurs, contact the proper local authorities. Cover sewer inlets and prevent from leakage of product into the water system. After leakage of liquid into drains or wastewater system - danger of explosion. Ask the experts. Danger of polymerisation after heating and after action of the air oxygen - explosive character of polymerisation. Than it is a necessary create large safety area. Caution population in habitable and industrial areas. Liquefied product evaporated rapidly. Let product controllably" burn up in the presence of the firemen if needed The product evaporates readily. In a case of cold weather (low temperatures) cover substance with non-combustible absorbent material (sand, universal binders) forward for disposal in a closed containers. Use water spray to reduce the vapour content in the air.

SECTION 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling Use antistatic personal protective equipment by handling. Ensure a sufficient air exchange in work areas. All electric and using components must be explosion proof. Eliminate all possible sources of ignition in work area. Prevent from accumulation of static charges. Prevent from leakage of product into drains and water system. Do not use open fire in the near of the product. Non-stabile peroxides can be formed from reaction of product with Oxygen rich substances or rusty iron. Peroxides, acids, alkaline earth metals and various metals compounds (Aluminium, Iron and Antimony chloride) catalyse - possibility of polymerisation. Transport this product only with an inhibitor. Suitable materials for containers - steel, stainless steel and nickel. Copper and its alloys can be damaged. For synthetic rubbers (SBR) production, latexes production (carpeting, colorants), plastic materials (ABS) and liquid rubbers productions

SECTION 8: EXPOSURE CONTROLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTION

ACGIH exposure limit lists have been checked for major components listed with CAS registry numbers. Other exposure limits may apply, check with proper authorities ACGIH TLV 2 ppm (TWA) 1,3 - Butadiene OSHA PEL 1 ppm (8-hour TWA) 5 ppm (15-minute STEL) NIOSH REL Lowest Feasible Concentration MDK (R.Serbia) 22 mg/m3, 10 ppm (8 hour) Yes Chemical Safety Report Not available Derived No Effect Levels (DNEL) Predicted No Effect Concentration (PNEC) Engineering methods to reduce hazardous exposure are preferred controls. Methods include Engineering mechanical ventilation (dilution and local exhaust) process or personal enclosure, remote and Controls automated operation, control of process conditions, leak detection and repair systems. Personal protective equipment should not be considered a long-term solution to exposure control. Persons in ill health where such illness would be aggravated by exposure to product should not be allowed to work with or handle this product.. Use protective masks with filter AX with organic vapours canister at lower concentrations and selfInhalation contained breathing apparatus at higher concentrations. Antistatic protective working cloth, antistatic shoes, if needed chemical protective clothing and in Skin case of fire-fighting use non-flammable suit. Protective gloves (from chloroprene, butylnitril or from another material resistant to this substance) Hands Goggles / protection glasses face shield or mask of breathing apparatus. Not wear contact lenses by Eyes work with 1,3-butadiene. Environmental exposure controls should be in accordance with applicable regional, Environmental exposure national, and local laws and regulations. controls Ensure a sufficient air exchange in work areas and do not get over PEL. SECTION 10: STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

Chemical Stability Conditions to Avoid Substances to Avoid Stability is dependent on content of inhibitor in product and on storage temperature and storage time of product. Aerobic storage, high temperature, absence of stabilising agent. Prevent from contact with water and oxygen. Heating under pressure, in atmosphere, by mixing with phenol and crotonaldehyde may give explosion. Peroxides, acids, alkaline earth metals and various metals compounds (Aluminium, Iron and Antimony chloride) catalyse - possibility of polymerisation with explosive character. CO, CO2 Possibility of polymerisation , so product is by production stabilized and it is stable under given storage and transport conditions. Heating up and atmospheric oxygen activity - danger of the polymerisation with explosive character; acrid smokes are liberated, thermal decomposition produces carbon oxides. In case of leakage of liquid into water system or drains, cower inlets and prevent from leakage of product into the rivers. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame.
