Number One: Cape


A cape is a piece of land sticking out into an ocean, sea, river, or lake.

Cape Cod

Number Two: Bay


A bay is a area of water that is surrounded by land, but not Bengal Bay completely.

Number Three: Butte


A butte is a rock or hill with a flat top and steep sides.

Crested Butte

Number Four: Canyon


A canyon is a valley with incredibly steep sides. Most canyons were carved from Grand Canyon rivers.

Number Five: Cave


Caves are large holes inside the ground/hills/mountains.

A cliff is a steep mountain made of rock and soil.

Number Seven: Continent


Continents are major masses of land. Currently there are seven on the planet Earth.

North America

Number Eight: Desert


Deserts are very dry areas which have little to no water. A different kind of desert is called a tundra, which is frozen.

Gobi Desert

Number Nine: Hill


A hill is a raised area/mound of Rattlesnake Hill land.

Number Ten: Island


An island is a piece of land surrounded by water.

Madagascar

Number Eleven: Lake


Lakes are bodies of water completely surrounded.

Crater Lake

Number Twelve: Mountain


A mountain is a large natural place much larger than a hill.

Number Thirteen: Plains


Plains are mostly flat lands with incredibly small Great Plainschanges in elevation.

Number Fourteen: Volcano


A volcano is a mountain with a tunnel intersecting through the center. Once they erupt they spill lava, magma and hot gases from Volcano the earth.
