RJ Sundiang Mr.

Barton Honors Choir: Period 6 March 11, 2014

Concert Reflection Sheet A.) 3 Positive Aspects of the Choirs Performance 1.) Mostly everyone seemed to memorize their lyrics, I didnt hear anyone say the wrong lyrics 2.) Everyone appeared to be clean/tidy, we all looked nice and like a professional choir 3.) We made sure to be attentive to the hand gestures given to us, making sure our rhythm was smooth

B.) 3 Positive Aspects of My Performance 1.) I believe the audience enjoyed my movements/energy during Take Me Out to the Ball Game 2.) I really tried to make sure my vowel formation was correct especially during The Eyes of All 3.) I felt as if I improved on my breathing especially in Sure on This Shining Night since that was something I struggled with last concert C.) 3 Negative Aspects of the Choirs Performance 1.) I felt as if our dynamics were not as written/instructed especially during True Light 2.) During Ritmo, a lot of us were off beat with the clapping and a lot of us missed the jump. 3.) The text was hard to comprehend at times such as during Choose Something Like a Star

D.) 3 Negative Aspects of My Performance 1.) I felt as if I may have sang too loud during True Light which took away from the other parts near the end of the song 2.) I may have gotten too carried away with the movements for Take Me Out to the Ball Game which caused me to forget some of the lyrics because I wasnt focused on them as much 3.) I had trouble pronouncing the consonants during The Road Not Taken E.) Suggestions: I think that our choir should not just focus on the words/lyrics of the song, but also the dynamic level, the vowels, the consonants, etc. I also believe that if we ever plan on having something choreographed, we do not just wing it and instead actually have something choreographed so that things are more organized, thoughtful, and do not get in the way of our focus on our music.
