How to Use the Reproducibles


To prepare, duplicate the booklet pages on white construction paper for each child. Have each child cut out a magazine picture of a favorite bird and glue it to the right cover (or have him draw a favorite bird). Then direct him to cut out the covers and write his name on the line. Next, ask each child to color and cut out the left and right halves of booklet pages 1 through 4. Then have him glue a few craft feathers to the center of booklet page 5 before cutting it out. To assemble his booklet, help the child stack his left and right pages and covers in order on top of page 5; then staple the booklet together along the sides.
