Shakespeare Paraphrases
Romeo: O my love! my wife! Death has taken the sweetness in your breath, But he cannot take your beauty, You are not lost, you are still beautiful. You are still red on your lips and cheeks, Death didnt conquer that yet. Does Tybalt lie next to you under the bloody sheet? What else can I do for you? With my hands that have killed you, To kill myself, to not be your enemy. Forgive me cousin, and Juliet, Why are you still so beautiful? Should I believe That unjustified Death wants you, And his monster keeps You in his realm to be his lover. Because I am scared of that, I will stay with you, And never leave this dark place Leave again, I will stay here With worms that are your servants, O here Romeo: continued Here I will prepare my eternal rest, To put the harness on the unlucky stars Look from this decaying flesh, Look your last. Arms, hug for the last time, and lips. O you The mouth I will seal with a last deserving kiss, And fulfill my eternal bargain with death
