    Like / love / hate + (verb)-ing

    Make the verb + ing


    1) read

    7) dance

    2) swim

    8) go to the cinema

    3) play cards

    9) ski

    4) shop

    10) listen to music

    5) cook

    11) watch TV

    6) travel

    12) study

    Use the verb + ing after the verbs like, love and hate.
    I like cook

    I like cooking.

    love ()
    like ()
    dont like ()
    hate ()

    Remember the spelling rules for the ing form:


    1) I like cookING
    She hates studyING
    2) They love dancING

    + ING

    e + ING

    3) We hate shopPING
    1 consonant + 1 vowel + 1 consonant = double consonant + ING

    Now make sentences:


    I love
    My best friend likes
    My mum doesnt like
    My dad hates
