Make a Connection Social studies integrates a broad range of topics and subject matter that students will need to approach in different ways to relate to new information and procure a deeper understanding.I think that teachers now approach social studies in such a way that engages students and even encourages a sense of responsibility. Students can feel that their opinions matter when they can express new found ideas within the classroom. This may also help to open the minds and perspectives of others.
