nt and make a sample Prezi to learn the basic features. CCSS CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.11-12.5 Make strategic use of digital media (e.g., textual, graphical, audio, visual, and interactive elements) in presentations to enhance understanding of findings, reasoning, and evidence and to add interest. Background Students have already chosen topics on which they will be presenting and have been given the rubric for the presentation requirements. I have already shown them a sample Prezi and explained what it is/does. Materials Computer with projector Students: computers Procedure 1. Take attendance. Tell students that we will be learning how to use Prezi today using a sample I have made and that we will be making a copy of that sample. Make sure to tell them to follow along and not get ahead of me so that we are all on the same page. Raise hands if there are questions or if you need me to slow down. (~5 min) 2. Students will follow the steps on their computers with me (~35 min) a. Open Prezi and create an account b. Explain Your Prezis page and click New Prezi c. Explain templates and pick one d. Explain editing dashboard e. Take them step-by-step to make the Disney Prezi i. Themes/fonts/customizing ii. Text iii. Diagrams iv. Inserting images v. Inserting frames vi. Frame animations 3. If time, have students click the present button and go over how to present (~10 min) 4. For closing, remind them that I dont expect them to be experts after today, so we will have time to work in the lab on making them and you can ask me questions Assessment Prezi presentation
