1. Yes, the job shadow I completed was in the same career field that I identified in my career PowerPoint. 2. I am still planning to pursue the same career I job shadowed because from the experience I got from it, it made me want to do the job even more. I love to help people, well really athletes because I am one myself. I am very passionate about helping athletes get back on there feet after an injury. 3. During the job shadow, the skills I observed that are needed are commitment, have passion, have gentle hands, be very observant, and be patient. 4. The activities or duties I liked were wrapping athletes wrists, making ice bags, and stretching people. I disliked pouring the pickle juice into the Gatorade bottle because it smells very bad. I didnt like wrapping some of there ankles and feet because some of their feet were ugly. 5. Yes, I do see myself doing this job for the duration of my working career because it is something I would love to do. 6. Aside from academic preparation in school, some of the other things that I can do in order to prepare for my career field is keep practicing and studying more of what I need to do such as taping people and continue to stretch athletes. 7. The advice my mentor gave me was that you must stay committed if you really want to do this. It will take up most of your time and life, all you have to do is stick with it. 8. The most invaluable thing I learned from this job shadow is learning to love helping people get back on track.
