WHAT DO WE NEED FOR APPLYING FOR A MASTERS DEGREE AT MIT?

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
MIT's Department of Biological Engineering offers a graduate
PhD or ScD degree program. MIT admits students for the fall term each year; there is no January or June admission. There isnt preliminary evaluation based on one or two qualifications. The admissions committee weighs all parts of the application (recommendations, personal statement, grades, test scores, previous research experience, etc.)

ADMISSIONS
Theres no way to know if youll be accepted due the MITs committee looks for applicants whose

intellectual interests, skills, aptitude and


experience best matches the department's research programs.

SCHOLARSHIPS
If youre an applicant to an MIT graduate program and are seeking financial support from any of the fellowships, traineeships, or scholarships administered by MIT, check the appropriate items on the regular Graduate Application for Admission and Financial Aid. If youre admitted to an advanced degree program, you are automatically considered for any awards for which you are eligible.
