Do you have Do you plan to bring

any No family members with No
dependents? you to the UK?

Why have you chosen to study in the United Kingdom as opposed to your home country or any
other country?
Q1. Guidance: Think about why you chose the UK rather than your home country, other English-speaking countries or countries which other students
of your nationality choose to study in. Think about the advantages that a degree from the UK might give you and why you and/or your family are
prepared to make this investment in your future. Have you made a realistic assessment of all the costs involved and how you plan to pay for
them? These costs include accommodation, costs of living and tuition fees.

During my final year of my bachelor's degree, I began searching for various Universities which offered a post-
graduation program in mechanical engineering, but to my disappointment most of the universities only offered
subjects which were non relative to my field and their teaching method were primitive. Universities in The
United Kingdom believe in a balance between both practical and theoretical methods while training their
students for any degree. Unlike Indian universities where we are only graded based on how much marks we
score in theoretical exam UK universities grade us based on our overall performance in theoretical, practical
and research methods.
Many students who have completed their post graduate studies from The United Kingdom hold high Ranking
position in top firms such as Tata, Mahendra, TVS and so on this clearly shows that any individual who secures
a degree Certificate from The United Kingdom will thrive in this new era of Technology.

The other main reason I chose to study in The United Kingdom is that Students can earn a post graduate degree
within one year. Other countries like Germany, USA, Canada and Australia offer degrees that take as long as 2
years and they also charge a very high tuition fee. The other main advantage of studying in UK is that students
can choose to work part time for around 20 hours a week so that they can earn enough funds to pay rent, buy
food, clothing and other essentials. The cost of life, healthcare and recreation in UK is cheaper when compared
to other countries.

The best part about the Universities of the United Kingdom is that they offer Scholarships to students who show
exceptional skills in educational. after researching all these details, I realized that studying in the United
Kingdom is the best option for any student.
Which other Universities have you considered attending and what other courses have you
Q2. considered studying?
Guidance: Think about the advantages that a degree from the University of Chester might give you, Did you consider other universities in the UK
or elsewhere, did you consider the same course at other universities or different courses.

While browsing through the internet and various educational websites I shortlists three different Universities. University
of Chester, Anglia Ruskin university and university of Leicester. These universities offered similar courses and modules
but there were many unwanted modules in the curriculum offered by the University of Leicester and Anglia Ruskin
University. They also have a longer course duration. University of Chester was the only University who could formulate a
curriculum to hold all important modules as well as impart that knowledge to students within a year.

Why have you chosen to study at the University of Chester instead of any other University?
Guidance: You need to think about what specifically attracted you to the University of Chester. Youmay find it useful to refer to the
Q3. university profile on the following link: http://www.chester.ac.uk/about/the-university Chester is a campus university - what attracts you
to the student lifestyle on a campus rather than in a city location? You might also wish to consider the ranking of the University over
other
universities.
To begin with, The University of Chester has designed its Mechanical engineering post graduate course in such a way that
it balances both theoretical and practical Application of their modules. Subjects like Finite element Analysis and laser
processing methods are core modules which are common to any Mechanical Engineering student and eve if they do not
have strong base knowledge about them they can easily cope up with the syllabus .university of Leicester and Anglia
Ruskin University have subjects like computational fluid dynamics, automation and robotics and advance material and
structural integrity which require a lot of base knowledge about computer design methods and Engineering analysis
methods. And these subjects are very complex to understand if not under the proper guidance.

The university of Chester has three specific research subjects which got my attention Mechanical engineering group
design project, master project and research methods. These areas help to teach and develop students' teamwork and
leadership. They help students how to plan, analysis and execute projects both individually and in a team. University of
Chester also has a 24-hour accessible library, computer labs and study zones which promote students to study during any
hour of the day or night. Moreover, the university has a global ranking of 1201 according to Times higher education and
has an overall score of 4.0 stars according to student reviews on study portal. The university of Chester also helped me in
my tuition fee by offering me 2 different scholarships one for a being an international student and the other for being a
merit student, they wavered a total of 2500 pounds from my overall fee which greatly helped in finalizing my decision.

The university is located in the heart of Chester, the city is not only beautiful and historic but also, it's among the safest
places in the United Kingdom for for students to pursue their higher education. After taking all these key points into
consideration I decided that I would receive my master's degree from the University of Chester.

Why have you applied to study your chosen course and how does this relate to your
previous studies?
Guidance: There may be many courses in the same subject area as the one you plan to study at Chester. What is it specifically about the
Q4. Chester course which you prefer and which suits you over other course choices? Think about your decision process. Did you apply for other
courses - why did you choose Chester over them? What modules are you most looking forward to studying and how are these assessed?
Think about
how this course relates to your previous studies and how it might build on your previous learning.
I have successfully completed my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in the year 2022 and I look forward to
enhance my skills and knowledge in this field of Engineering. In my country the mechanical (especially the automotive)
industry is evolving at a very fast rate and industries are searching for candidates who possess exceptional Academic and
practical knowledge. unfortunately, my bachelor's degree had only more of online and chalk-n-talk method of education
due to the covid pandemic. Therefore, a master degree program is the best way to learn how the industry works with
industry based on hand projects both individually as well as in a team. Mechanical engineering is a branch of engineering
in which an individual cannot work alone no matter how much he tries. Modules like Engineering group research project
teach students how to coordinate their views and ideas among team members in order to achieve the desired outcome.
This subject will greatly help me excel in the mechanical engineering industry.

Subjects like Finite element analysis are one of the most popular methods used for numerically solving differential
equations arising in Engineering and mathematical modelling, during my bachelor's degree I was given a brief
introduction to this field and I realized it's a very important field of study in the mechanical industry. This course offers
in-depth explanation and exposure to this field of study with real life examples and projects. This would really help me
enhance my skill set in my field of education.

The main advantage of the structure of this course is that it's designed in such a way that students enhance their skills by a
series of different tests, projects and examinations which indirectly help students to develop their self-Learning and
research skills. Thankfully even I will be able to experience this beautiful curriculum and learn from Professionals from
the industry, professors and old students in the form of guest lecturers.
What do you intend to do once you have completed your chosen course of study, and where
do you see yourself in 5 years after completing your course at the University of Chester?
Q5. Guidance: Think about what your plans are after you graduate - how will the knowledge and skills you gain from your course at Chester help
you with the type of work you hope to do. You may wish to consider the following; Do you intend to return to your home country to find
employment, do you intend to work for the government or for a private organization, do you intend to work for a large or small organization,
do you intend to be self-employed or be an employee of an organisation?

Once I have completed my master's degree in mechanical engineering I aim to return back to my country and apply the
knowledge I have gained from your prestigious university in the rising mechanical sector in my country. In the next 5
years I see myself working in one of the top mechanical companies like TVS, Mahendra, Tata motors or Hero motor
corporation and aiding them to design their best-in-class automobiles.

Q6 What salary can you expect to earn upon return to your home country?

A Mechanical engineer’s annual income is around 15 to 20 lakhs INR which is roughly around 15000-20000 pounds in
my country. When I return back to my country after completing my master's degree, I would expect this amount and I
have no doubt that the company will compensate me well as I now possess a master's degree from one of the top
Universities in the world.

Please can you outline what you have been doing during the period since you last studied and
Q7 why you have now decided to return to full time education?
Please note you only need answer this question if you have not studied in the last year.
Why have you now decided to return to full time education following a period of
employment? Why is studying at this stage in your career the right step for you and how will
