INTRODUCTION:

My name is Jawad Aslam and I belong to Gujrat, Pakistan. I did my Matriculation in Computer
Science (2013–2015) from Government Model High School Lalamusa and my Diploma of
Associate Engineer (Civil) (2015–2018) from Government College of Technology Rasul
M.B.Din. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Technology (2018-
2022) from the University Of Lahore. Choosing the right place to study abroad can have a huge
impact on academic plans. I've always wanted to study abroad, and I'm now ready to fulfill that
dream. I like having control over my surroundings. I have a great deal of organization. I want to
impress my parents by getting a degree from a foreign university I have always put a lot of effort
into my academic pursuits. Now that I've grown to find this subject to be rather interesting over
time, I've made the decision to pursue a career in it at the University of South Wales in the
United Kingdom. My education brought me happiness. As I've previously stated, studying
abroad is a goal of mine. My family and seniors have been supportive of my desire to earn an
international degree.

Why I choose this Course:

Civil engineering is one of the most sought-after branches of engineering, and probably one of
the oldest one in human history. For thousands of years, humans have built breathtaking
monuments that have stood the test of time, all thanks to dedicated civil engineers. A civil
engineer is responsible for designing and monitoring the construction and renovation of physical
structures, railway projects, roadways, and local and national infrastructure. It is a diverse field
with tremendous scope and added prestige. A civil engineer can be involved in a range of
projects. If you work for a civil engineering company that accepts diverse clients, you will have
the opportunity to work on different projects including building roadways, railways, bridges,
commercial buildings, residential complexes, and others. There is always going to be a need for
well-qualified civil engineers, making this career one of the most futuristic choices that will
stand the test of time. Civil engineers are employed by companies across the world. It is a global
profession, and also a lucrative one. Civil engineers are some of the best paid professionals in the
world. Civil engineering is a field job, which means that you will spend minimal time behind a
desk, and more time at the construction site. Civil engineers face new challenges at the site every
day, and so there is nothing routine about this job. Remember, civil engineering is a hands-on job
focused mostly outdoors, which means that you will be working in different environments,
climates, and locations.

Civil engineers are expected to bring a level of creativity along with enhanced technical skills to
the job. Structural engineers have to be especially creative about the structure they are designing,
to make sure that their creation is modern, innovative, and can function better than a traditional
structure. Professionals who have pursued the best B.Tech course in civil engineering generally
have the skills to work in a competitive environment due to the specialized training they receive
at college. Structures designed by civil engineers generally last a long time, enabling them to
build a legacy which will last beyond their lifetime. The Taj Mahal was designed by civil
engineers from thousands of years ago, and is still admired today. Modern record-keeping will
ensure that you will be remembered for the structures you design as a civil engineer during your
career.

WHY I Choose UK:

I have done extensive research on studying abroad, and I believe the United Kingdom is the best
fit for me. I visited numerous advisors, went to numerous educational fairs, and also solicited
advice from my elders. I was able to think of four countries after unending effort. They were
Canada, the USA, the UK, and Australia. There is little doubt that each of these nations has
established its own standard for high-quality education. Considering the benefits and drawbacks
of studying in these nations, I opted for the UK instead of them. Universities in the UK are
known for their high standards of instruction. Their evaluation of educational quality is
remarkable. Another point is that UK universities provide degrees with a condensed timeline and
allow students to take part-time jobs to cover living expenses. While studying in the UK, a
foreign student may get medical attention as needed. Although there are a few institutions in
Pakistan that offer equivalent projects, they cannot compare to the respect and the quality of
education that come with enrolling in a programme there. Currently, nearby institutions can't
appear to fulfill a vertical arrangement among their employees and the students they admit. This
is the reason why students who applied for jobs overseas were unable to successfully meet the
minimal requirements established by their companies.

Additionally, the UK uses a practical teaching approach, the most up-to-date tactics, and an
updated curriculum to prepare students for the workplace. This increases the likelihood that a
student will join one of the world's top firms. I could become sustainability specialist,
environmental engineer, sustainability manager and sustainability director. University of South
Wales master’s degree program offer unique opportunities to turn theory into practice. Many
programs also work closely with the industry, offering students the possibility to combine study
and practical work. UK has a long and proud history of academic excellence. The entire UK
higher education system is ranked as one of the best in the world.

WHY CHOOSE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHWALES:

The University of South Wales is famed for its best and most qualified teaching staff quality
research and divergence of its students, the big and historic campuses in UK. University of South
Wales lets me develop as an individual. This is the university that will give me the chance, time
and opportunity to develop new interests, learn new skills and meet new people, because it’s my
first time away from home, and that’s why I want to become more independent and self-reliant.
In more than 140 countries students choose this University of South Wales to get the best
education.

I am sure I will gain a thorough understanding of their society, culture, norms and values by
living and learning with their international students. The one more important and good thing
about University of South Wales is that if students want they can select to live in on campus
lodging during their stay in UK. Students who come for one year are guaranteed a place in
university housing so that they practice through the yearly cut-off date set by the
Accommodation Office. Also their staff is really very cooperative and will provide me with in-
depth information and guidelines. USW provides me with different learning styles that will be
very different and easy to understand for their students and they will make sure that you will
enjoy the best time of my life at the University of South Wales.
PLANS AFTER COMPLETING DEGREE:

The goal of a civil engineer is to design safe and sturdy airports, bridges, dams, harbors and
highways that millions of people will use for years. Whether your career goals are professional
satisfaction or financial success, education and planning can assist you in meeting those goals.
Sustainable use of materials, resources, and energy, in order to enhance the quality of life, for
current and future generations, is a key aim for civil and structural engineers. I am certain that
obtaining this degree will increase my talents and broaden my knowledge in both theory and
practice. My home country will make use of this degree. I am certain that my MSc Civil
Engineering would prepare me for a senior position in any renowned company in Pakistan when
I have successfully completed my degree. I owe my country because I have lived here all my
life. My parents have always supported me by being here in Pakistan. I can't simply ignore
them. I find it impossible to be away from them for too long. I will be greatly missing my family
throughout my brief visit to the UK.

After I finish my studies, I want to apply my education while continuing to live with my family
in Pakistan. My family has always counted on me to take care of them as they age and to pay for
their needs. To practice law and have the luxury of spending time with my family is what I want
most in life. I will have a range of job options after receiving this degree, including civil and
structural engineer etc. I'm hoping to finish the program on schedule and then return to Pakistan
to serve my own country. In order to ensure my future in Pakistan, I strongly hope that I would
be offered the chance to study in the UK.

Thank You.

Jawad Aslam
