 It is a state-owned pilot training institute located at the
Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala, India.
Originally established as the Kerala Flying Club in 1959 by
G. V. Raja, the academy has a rich history of producing
trained pilots and flight engineers
 RAGAAT plays a vital role in shaping the future of aviation
professionals by providing comprehensive training and
education. It continues to keep its excellence and
innovation in aviation training, preparing students for
successful careers in the dynamic aviation industry.
Types of Aircraft

 CESSNA 172 R-LYCO-IO-360 L2A

Cessna 172 Skyhawk, which is one of the most widely used
training aircraft in the world, they are equipped with
Lycoming engine.
Lycoming Engines: Many Cessna piston-powered aircraft,
such as the Cessna 172 Skyhawk are equipped with Lycoming
engines. Lycoming engines are known for their reliability and
are commonly used in general aviation aircraft.
Cylinder Configuration: The O in IO-360 indicates Horizontally
opposed, meaning the cylinders are arranged in a flat
configuration.
Fuel Injection: The "I" in IO-360 indicates that it's fuel-injected
Displacement: The 360 in IO-360 indicates engine has a
displacement of approximately 361 cubic inches
 PIPER SENECA PA-34-220T

The Piper Seneca, manufactured by Piper Aircraft, Inc., is a

renowned twin-engine light aircraft
Designed primarily for personal and business use, it offers
enhanced performance, range, and load carrying capabilities
compared to single-engine aircraft
The Seneca accommodates six occupants, including the pilot,
and is equipped with retractable landing gear
The Seneca is used for both short-range and long-range
flights.
The PA-34-220T is another variant of the Piper Seneca series.
In this case, the "T" in the designation stands for
"turbocharged." The PA-34-220T is equipped with
turbocharged engines for improved performance at higher
altitudes, making it suitable for operations in areas with
mountainous terrain or for long-distance flights where high-
altitude cruising is required.
