To Whom It May Concern, It was a compliment to be asked to write this letter of recommendation for Scott Niemann. I recently ended 16 years on the Centralia School Board and have worked with Scott since he joined the district in 2010. Along with regular school board activities, I have worked with Scott on the district newly adopted Strategic Plan, HiCap Program review, and a number of district interviews and on levy committees. Scott is a well-read administrator and stays current with best practices in education. He is able to relay educational concepts in terminology that can be understood by all. He incorporates appropriate data in his presentations. Whether he is giving a presentation to the board, facilitating a project, or participating in a group activity, Scott comes prepared. He utilizes technology appropriately, he does his homework ahead of time, and he arrives ready to participate and accomplish goals. Along with being a well-spoken presenter, Scott is a thoughtful listener. He is able to respond to questions and comments such that a person knows they have been heard. Scott is able to maintain a persons self-esteem when responding to questions or comments that he may not agree with. Scott is easy to talk with on the professional or personal level and he has a great sense of humor. As the director of teaching, learning and special programs Scott is responsible for supervising district directors, program managers and support staff. He is also responsible for monitoring programs throughout the district, which gets him into classrooms across the district. Scott exhibits his leadership skills in his ability to lead meetings and projects, in his wide knowledge of best practices in education, in his communication and interpersonal skills, and in his quest for continued learning. He is a talented administrator and would bring a wealth of experience to any school district. Scott is well respected by his peers and by this community. Please give him careful consideration as an administrator in your school district. Sincerely,

Patty Dolezal
