Cultures of Resistance video i

Filmmaker Iara Lee and her cameraman Srdjan Stojiljkovid had filmed on SD cards in anticipation that the Israelis would seize all the gear and storage devices. Mr Stojiljkovid successfully concealed these cards during his detention and from this footage Cultures of Resistance (CoR) has produced a 62 minute documentary of the flotilla. Approximately 26 minutes of this film covers the raid and its immediate aftermath. (Mr Stojiljkovid has also produced his own annotated version of the film.ii) This footage contains a gap of more than 12 minutes in real time between 04:30:27:20 and 04:43:22:00 UTC. No explanation has been given for this gap although it may have occurred when Mr Stojiljkovid was changing over to SD cards and perhaps also recorded his previous footage onto the same format.
Srdjan Stojiljkovid Kevin Neish has subsequently been able to apply the real time to the footage of the attack on the ship between 04:24:26 and 04:53:07 by cross referencing his own photographs taken with a digital camera. These times conform well to those available from Israeli sources for the same period (e.g. timed infra-red material and Israeli analyses released to coincide with the Eiland report). However there are further gaps in the CoR footage at 47:32, 47:36, 48:54, 49:23 and 49:46. In consequence Mr Neish was only able to provide approximate times between 04:53:12 and 05:13:58. By the end of the film a discrepancy of nearly seven minutes had accumulated between this guesstimate and the real time of events portrayed in the film, as was revealed by the time shown on the cctv channel broadcast on the ship.
