FLORIDA ALFA Praises House Committee on Health & Human Services for Passing Meaningful ALF Reform Measure
Measure to Protect Florida Seniors by Strengthening State Regulations Heads to House Floor Tallahassee, Fla. FLORIDA ALFA (FL ALFA), the Florida Chapter of the Assisted Living Federation of America, today praised the Florida House Committee on Health and Human Services for passing meaningful ALF reform. This measure, contained in House Bill 573, will serve to protect Florida seniors and ensure they receive quality care in assisted living communities by strengthening state regulations. We thank the members of the House Committee on Health and Human Services for supporting and passing meaningful ALF reform, said Gail Matillo, executive director of FL ALFA. The passage of this measure is paramount to ensuring Floridas seniors are well protected in their assisted living communities and that they experience the best possible quality of life across our state. FL ALFA supported reform efforts last session, and we are thrilled that Representative Ahern is championing this good policy that will protect Floridas seniors, said Matillo.
