To Whom It May Concern: It is with great interest that I am sending my resume and application for a teaching position in an elementary school. I am applying for a teaching position for Kindergarten through 3rd grade. I will be graduating on May 10, 2014, with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. Given my education and my experiences in Mobile County Schools and West Feliciana Parish Schools, I believe that I am an excellent fit for your staff. In addition, I have a strong passion for teaching and working with others. Even though I have not had held a teaching position before, I believe that I have many great new ways to teach. I believe that teaching is a lifelong learning process, it involves learning and using new strategies, learning from students, other teachers, the community, and parents. I believe that all students learn differently, so, I will use various forms of instruction to get my students excited about learning. I believe in having a hands on classroom, students need to be actively engaged in learning, which is done best when they are participating in their learning. I believe in having a classroom in which the students feel safe, to answer questions, to state their opinion, and to not have to worry about life outside of school. I believe in having parents in my classroom as much as possible, so that there is cooperative learning between teacher, parent, and student. I completed my Student Teaching at Mary B. Austin Elementary School. I was in the first grade. I created and taught lessons in all subjects, assisted with classroom management, worked collaboratively with a group of teachers and student teachers, participated in parent-teacher conferences, administered assessments, and analyzed student data. I believe that I can build a strong student-teacher relationship, that I can work well with other teachers, and that I can create a classroom in which the students bond with each other. I am proficient with software such as: Smart Notebook, Microsoft Office, Power Point, and Excel. I have taught in classrooms that have anywhere from 16 students to 33 students. I would love to have an interview for a teaching position for Kindergarten to 3rd grade. I would be great in this position because I have spent a lot of time teaching in classrooms. I am a young teacher; however I have a great passion for teaching and greatly enjoy doing it every day. Thank you for considering me for these positions. Thank you
