Dental Experience
Chair side Assisting
Graduated from Memphis Area Vo Tech in 1987. Over an eleven year period, assisted over 120 dentists in four-handed dentistry, manipulated materials, obtained impressions and x-rays, fabricated temporary crowns, and assisted in periodontal and other surgical procedures. The majority of my experiences serving as a chair side dental assistant were in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry and orthodontics.

Coronal Polishing
Certified in coronal polishing in the State of Tennessee. Utilized in a pediatric practice to perform coronal polishing and check-ups under the supervision of the dentist.

Monitoring Nitrous Oxide Analgesia

Experience in preparing the patient for the dentist to administer nitrous oxide analgesia and subsequently monitor the patients status.

Administration of Oral Medications

Administered oral sedatives to children prior to their dental procedures.

Sterilization
Responsible for proper sterilization of instrumentation, preparation of dental armamentarium, and disinfection of treatment room. Prepared and assembled OSHA manuals for two practices.

Lab Duties
Poured and trimmed diagnostic models and constructed several dental appliances. While in employment at St. Jude Hospital, I participated in the construction of a stent which was utilized in the stabilization of the childs head as the patient received radiation treatments for their brain tumor.
