BURNS AND SCALD

FACTORS 1. Any of the family members forget to switch off the iron after used.

PREVENTIONS 1. Make sure iron is turned off after used and keep in a safe place. 2. Keep all the appliances which might be dangerous for the child in a high place or safer place at which they cannot reach it and also roll the wire if it is too long. 3. Family members must be alert by turning off the switch every time after taking bath or put a sign switch off after use. 4. Use a special container to cover the mosquito coil and make sure children cannot reach it. 5. Tell the parents to stop smoking.

2. The kitchen an appliance such as hot kettle, rice hot pot or any things that is hot is put on the table might be pulled by the child or baby.

3. In the bathroom, the water heater is still on and child can open it accidentally.

4. Put the mosquito coil on the floor or a small table where the child can reach. 5. While smoking parents are not alert about their child playing around them which the child might be poke by the cigarette. 6. The used of candle during blackout which attract the child to play with it and might cause fire and injured the child. 7. Children might play with firecracker. 8. Table clothes /sheet will be pulled by child and hot drinks or food might spill or splash on the child.

6. Put the candle at higher place and away from clothes or curtain.

7. Make sure parents is alert and be with the child while playing the fire cracker. 8. Avoid using table clothes at home.

9. Children touch the socket with their wet hand.

9. Cover the socket to avoid the child put in their finger.

10. Children playing around the motorbike while the exhaust is hot.

10. Park the motorbike at a safe place and away from the place where children are playing. 11. Put the acid in the store and make sure the child can not reach it. 12. Place everything that can cause danger to children such as lighter in a safe place where the child cannot reach.

11. Expose to the chemical such as acid.

12. Hyperactive child like to run here and there and play with anything that they found such as lighter that can cause fire and burns to themselves.
