Warm-up: review question from yesterday Continue solving using substitution o Students will not use the sticky notes during this lesson o Students will instead circle the portion of the equation that they intend to move and draw an arrow to where they plan to place the other equation o This will be shown to the students using modeling and class discussion at the beginning of the lesson o Students will then move on to solving real-life problems using the substitution methods that they have learned (see additional materials tab) o Students will work in groups to complete the work Learning Log: Which method do you prefer: sticky notes or circling and drawing arrows? What problem was the hardest one you worked on today?
