Vision
The High Institute of Public Health (HIPH) strives to be an academic center of excellence in
Alexandria, Egypt, providing leadership in creating and delivering knowledge, skills and expertise
for sound policies and practices enhancing public's health on national and international levels.

Mission
The HIPH mission is to prepare future cadres and leaders capable of facing health and
environment challenges of the 21st century and beyond, aiming at improving individual, family and
community health, with emphasis on vulnerable groups. This could be achieved through
multidisciplinary programmes, which ensure:
High-quality community-based innovative, interactive and inter-disciplinary education and
training.

Community-oriented health and environment-related research, the results of which are to be


translated into community health policies and interventions.

Dynamic partnerships with healthcare providers, academic institutions, national, regional


and international health and environment-related sectors and agencies.

Provision of community and consulting services, on local/ national/ international levels,


which allow sharing applied knowledge and expertise.
