"WHAT MORE COULD I HAVE DONE"

I first saw her in deep water, Amidst life's troubled seas Thrashing, pasting, defeated, Unable to break free So I threw her out Christ's lifeline, Forgiveness, love, be free But she scoffed at the simple truth. "There's nothing wrong with me." "My friends tell me I am ok Condemning words you say Don't need your help, quit judging me, I will do it my own way." And I cried and wept before the Lord, For many days and nights, What do I do, Lord show me, As her soul slipped out of sight. The Lord stood up with tear-filled eyes, With his hand and heart extended. She has turned her back and walked away, And now her chance has ended And then the Lord spoke to me, Alas, it is too late, She chose her own self-serving path, And sealed her feeble fate. Now get up my child and stay the course, For there is a race to run, Go forth to rescue others, knowing, You did all that could be done. For there are millions who need salvation, Who daily reject my plea, And he held those nail scarred hands outstretched, For me to plainly see. You fought the battle, and kept the faith And the battle was still not won, Choices were her undoing child "WHAT MORE COULD I HAVE DONE"
