Beginning: Large Group-Find out how many animals can be identified by the children
Middle: Let children pick out books and magazines to find animals in
Extensions: Easier-Let the younger children look at the big picture books Trickier-Let the older children cut pictures of animals out of the magazines.
End: Put the pictures that were cut out around the room so children can see and identify them every day. Then put all the books back in the book shelf.
Follow-up Ideas: Use the left over magazines for art projects such as balls.
