On "Tax Day" 2014 the Greater Romulus Chamber of Commerce held their monthly business luncheon at the Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport, Romulus. Followed by a delicious meal, Bill Kren, Executive Director of the Chamber, introduced the guest speaker, Mr. Gary L. Whited, President of General Dynamics Land Systems.

General Dynamics Land Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics Combat Systems Group - a global leader in the design, development, production, support and enhancement of tracked and wheeled military vehicles for the United States and its allies. Mr. Whited gave a powerful and uplifting presentation on both this company and it's amazing products like the Abrams battle tank and the family of Stryker and LAV wheeled combat vehicles.

In attendance for this event was Gary's father, Mr. Al Whited. Also in attendance: State Senator Hoon-Yung Hopgood and State Rep Douglas Geiss and his wife Erika. Rev. Arthur Willis. Pastor of Pentecostal Missionary Baptist Church, Romulus, brought the invocation. Mr. David Goodwin, President of the Romulus Chamber, was emcee for this luncheon. The next Romulus Chamber of Commerce Business Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Romulus Athletic Center. Mr. Robert Robert A. Ficano. Wayne County Executive, is the guest speaker.
