Standards Title Creatively introduces the idea to your audience. Reflects the question you were asking in your experiment.
Comments I/M/E
Purpose/Background Research: - A two paragraph statement that explains why this experiment is important and some of the science behind the methods. Include a description of titration, neutralization, and indicator solutions. - Include at least one citation. Experimental Design: - Lists your independent variable (what you are varying), dependent variable (what you are measuring) and constants (what you make sure to keep the same for all samples. - Explains your titration procedure in enough detail for another person to follow. Acid/Base Chemistry Content - Use the terms acidic, basic, neutralize, titration, indicator. - Decide which sample has the most hydrogen ions and which has the least. - Justify the base and indicator that you use in your experimental design. Hypothesis: - Predictions made before your experiment. Including what you think the data will do. Data: - A graph that illustrates your results in a way that makes sense to the viewer. Conclusion: page or more - A short summary of the data collected in the experiment. - An explanation of what your results mean. - A reflection on your hypothesis. - A critical look at your experimental design. - Identify sources of error and the way in which they may have impacted your results. - Propose next steps for further experiments.
