Attendance: Please remember, you must submit a written excuse within 3 days of your childs absence. Class begins each morning at 7:30, and children are marked tardy at 7:45. Thank you for your help in ensuring your children are ready and on time each day!

What are we learning this week? Reading: We are continuing our reading series and will begin focusing on skills, specific letters, and word wall words. Our skills are asking and answering questions, labeling, making connections, retelling, blending, and reading poetry. We will be learning about long /u/. We are learning the sight words: good, who. Math: We will continue learning about money. Discovery: We will be learning about Earth Day and recycling.

Book bags will NOT go home on Fridays. IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO BRING YOUR TAKE HOME FOLDER AND READING BAG TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! Thank you for helping your child learn responsibility. Dean Road celebrates and acknowledges good character. This is very important in our classroom. This past week we learned about confidence. Next week we will be learning about school pride. Every week 1 student in our class will win the STAR award for showing that weeks character trait.
