Missy Update:
I ASKED MISSY to
MARRY ME but she does
NOT know it yet. Missy’s
MOM returned my
$21 dollar express mail
PROPOSAL UNOPENED
After getting MY HOPES UP with my express mail proposal to
Melissa I was dismayed to find it back in my mail box
unopened yesterday, which is “Divine Mercy Sunday” for the
Roman Catholic Church & which is “Easter” for the Orthodox
church. I attended an Easter Service at the Serbian Church in
Alhambra, and enjoyed the picnic afterwards and the red egg
they gave to me as a symbol of the blood of Jesus as well as the
tomb from which Jesus emerged to free us from our sins.

Then, later yesterday (4/19/09) I attended a service at St Jude

in Westlake Village as well as a service at St Bridget of Sweden
in Van Nuys where they had a painting of Jesus with two rays
of light coming from the wound in his side (which was inflicted
upon Him while He was on the cross). One of the rays was red
and the other ray was white. This painting is recognized by the
church as a valid replication of what Mary Faustina Kowalska,

1
better known as Saint Faustina, saw in a vision on February
22, 1931.

The Roman Catholic Church (RCC) celebrates the “2nd Sunday

of Easter” as “Divine Mercy Sunday” and offers an
opportunity for a “plenary indulgence” in combination with
confession, mass, & veneration of the painting of Christ with
the two lights emanating from His body (see
www.divinemercysunday.com) .

What is “veneration” ? I have read that it merely means some

sign or indication of “respect” for the object that symbolizes
something higher (i.e. St. Dominics in San Francisco for
example has a procession during Holy Week in which
everybody is given an opportfunity to “venerate” the cross (i.e.
kiss the cross) as a gesture of respect for the higher meaning of
the cross, i.e. the death & resurrection of Christ for our sins).

Anyways, I keep learning NEW THINGS about the various

forms of worship in the MANY denominations that make up
the Body of Christ, both Catholic & Protestant. Meanwhile, I
also keep trying to make a POINT-of-CONTACT with Melissa,
but my first marriage proposal was returned by Connie, her
mom. At least Connie saw the envelope, but did she pass on the
question to Melissa ?! I don’t know. I will have to try again—
somehow directly getting the mail to Melissa, not via her mom.
I can’t ask Missy’s mom to ask Missy if she will marry me. I
have to ask Missy herself. She has to hear it or at least see it
from ME. If it is according to God’s will so be it.

And I also ask for your prayers at this time for my personal
physical health as well as the “Missy Mission” and also for
other friends involved in the Missy Mission who have been at
least a little kind & receptive towards me. I’m doing my best to
DO THINGS RIGHT and DO THE RIGHT THING. It’s not

2
fair for Melissa or her mom to give me the silent treatment
forever. It is time to “break the ice” and let the Holy Spirit in
to the picture. I’m open to the Spirit, but are they ? I can only
hope and pray that the Spirit will touch their hearts and minds
and make them gracious towards me.

As I said before this Missy Mission is “more than merely about

Me & Missy”. It is about RECONCILILATION in the BODY
OF CHRIST, or at least amongst those who claim to be part of
the Body of Christ. At least I can only assume they claim to be
Christians based on the fact that I knew Missy because I
attended a Christian high school with her. At least her parents
must be Christian if they wanted their kids to attend a
Christian school (but then I have heard some parents just sign
a form affirming their “Christian faith” in order to send their
kids to a private school rather than public. That, to me, is a
shame and a disgrace and those who do such without any
regard for the larger intentions and mission of the Christian
schools founded by the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) are
corrupting the body in such cases. I hope such is not the case
for anybody I know or knew.

May God bless you all and may the Spirit be with you like the
WIND that blows a sailboat. May it lead you and guide you
with a little bit of steering from you. Let us be OPEN to the
HOLY SPIRIT and never lose hope or faith. We are only as
strong as much as we have faith together as the BODY OF
CHRIST. Paul said:

I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up

in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of
Christ, for the sake of His body ,
which is the church,Col 1:24

MISSY,
WILL YOU
MARRY ME ?!

I have yet to see this “registered mail” sent to me
by Mrs. Wilkins or Ms. Wilkins (apparently no
longer “my Missy” ) but as mentioned Liz opened
it for me and said it was not positive.

After screening it for me, she sent it back to my

box in Yorba Linda which I just got
yesterday(4/15/09) after returning from my San
Francisco Holy Week trip, & after attending the
Dodgers-Giants game (which the Dodgers won 5-4

in the bottom of the 9th, albeit I left after the 5th
inning due to the “REDNECK MEXICANS” in
the stands who always ruin the Dodger games by
cussing and cursing and acting obnoxious even in
front of children.
