Trials on March 19 (Wednesday): Geometry 4 1st period: My CM also participated.

This class is generally very easy to manage they are on topic and off-topic fun students have is personally easier to handle. Students in the class got excited to do the activity [expressions of- yay we are doing it now!-]. They all took a comfortable position as soon as I asked them to. Everyone participated. When the bell rang, students stayed to give feedback. Students thanked me on the way out. Also, see google form. Geometry 2 6th period: Students in this class are very difficult to handle at times. Every student has a mini-social group that always talks throughout class. They are a group of high energy students. I sometimes feel frustrated dealing with disciplinary issues with them. I ask them to take seats because we are doing relaxation exercise but they are so intensely working on my Pythagorean challenge ti became difficult. One student does not close his eyes. Another student closed her eyes on and off throughout the activity. (Interestingly everyone said they wanted to do this again). Two boys were giggling in the beginning and stopped giggling and looked very calm by the end of the activity. Two girls giggle when I said breath from bottom of ribs up to the clavicle. One girl that was giggling opened her eyes at one point. One boy kept working on the challenge and initially had trouble putting it away to close his eyes but eventually (possibly in about 45 seconds) put it away before I began guiding the students through relaxation, he closed his eyes. Afterwards, the students were quiet and quietly filled out the survey. They did not revert to talking amongst each other.

**Interestingly, students were able to gauge their focus without doing work afterwards.
