Area of Concern Consideration for Southminster School to gain a second accreditation

Level of effectiveness of Southminster School Science fair in preparation for the ACSI Regional Science Fair Level of Preparedness of First Year Teachers in SBISD

Needs Assessment Southminster School is interested in gaining an additional accreditation in order to market itself as a school of distinction in the local privateschool arena. Parents last year found the TerraNova test results to be difficult to read and the Christian Studies component did not reflect current curriculum. Research needs to be done to determined if another testing program would be better suited. Students attending Regional Science Fair have not been competitive with students from other schools. Spring Branch ISD no longer has Teacher Mentorship Grant and needs to reevaluate how first year teachers are supported.

Evaluation The survey created by the subcommittee indicated that while parents want the school to be accredited, they do not care by whom. Students in grades 3-6 were administered the CTP4 exam over the course of one week. Data
