Garrett Moore Period 3 4-16-14 www.glmdp.weebly.com Anamorphic Drawing 1.

Anamorphic is a 3-D image that is intentionally distorted to make only one view of the image displayed 3-D. You can only see the 3-D image from one viewpoint. The illustration would be very inaccurate if its not being viewed from the one standpoint. 2. To complete this project many supplies and preparation was needed. The first step in the process was to find and print a picture of a 3-D image that the group was interested in so we could have a preimage to reference. Then, we needed to project the pre-image or the original image onto a poster board. For the projector we used a table to prop up the box that held a piece of glass with the original image drawn on it. We also used a good eraser to clean our mistakes and a yard stick to make clear and crisp lines. 3. The final image we drew is a projection because we plotted points onto the poster based on matching up the same points on the glass onto the poster, and plot a point. One person in the group would look through the glass piece based on where other points were the person would match up points and add points until all the points were plotted. The points were plotted based on the angle the person that was looking through the glass piece making a projection of the original drawing. 4. In the process my partner and I were challenged during the projection part of the project. Most groups had a laser pointer to point where points should be from the person looking through the projector. My partner and I had to explain where each and every one of our points should be. It took a lot of erasing and redrawing of points to make sure the final piece matched up perfectly with the original image being projected. We overcame that challenge by using a yard stick, and matching lines up with the yard stick. Since we had a rubix cube, we only had straight lines. So the yard stick helped us find all of the lines, and when we found the lines, it made it a lot easier to find the points on the lines.
