It will help students work on their syntax, semantics, story grammar, and fluency when telling or writing about a story. Students will need either a laptop, computer or tablet. With these, the student will be able to make an account on ToonDoo. Objective 1: Make an outline of the story. Objective 2: Make sure narrative contains all the necessary component (beginning, theme, complementary incidents, and conclusion) Objective 3: Use figurative language within the story. Objective 4: Use a thesaurus to introduce new vocabulary words. Objective 5: Be able to verbally present a narrative with all the parts of a story and use details. Students will go through all of the stages of Blooms Taxonomy: Create: A ToonDoo to go along with the story students came up with. Evaluate: Read a fellow students story and rate on how easy it was to follow. Analyze: Identify different parts of your peers paper and tell them what they did well. Apply: Show how you incorporated your peer feedback into your story and tell me why it made your story better. Understand: Have students tell you what they learned and how they will apply it to what they are doing in their general English course. Remember: Have students be able to name different parts of a storyline and what they add to the story. Also, have them tell you new words they found/used and what they mean. 1. Review with students over parts of a story. Hand out an outline of a story. 2. Have students decide on the setting and what characters they want in their story. Then create a ToonDoo. 3. Next have students fill out an outline of the story. 4. Have students create a ToonDoo that represent the main points of their story (intro, events, climax, fall of events, resolution) and create it in ToonDoo. 5. Have students write their narrative in full length, then review their story to make sure they have all the components. 6. Have students peer-review another story (Provide and evaluation sheet), then have students apply changes to own story. 7. Next, have students insert more descriptive detail and figurative language, also use thesaurus to replace overused words. 8. Have students create the rest of their ToonDoo to follow their whole story. 9. Have students share their story with the rest of the class. Allow them to use their ToonDoo to reiterate their story aloud. Compare stories of before and after and see where students made improvements. Also, judge by what they can recall from
