Tell em WHAT youre gonna tell em: This is your introduction paragraph, outlining WHAT you are going to elaborate on, without any details or examples. This usually takes 3-4 sentences. Tell em: This is where you outline your details and give your examples. Each example should have its OWN paragraph. Each paragraph is usually 3-6 sentences long. Depending on how many examples or points you have to support your position, you may have a lengthy essay. ALWAYS support your points and examples. Tell em what you TOLD em: This is your concluding paragraph where you basically rephrase your introduction. Your summation, if you will.
