find out if plants need water.

HYPOTHESIS
Plants

need water to grow healthy.

VARIABLES
a) Manipulated variable: presence of water b) Responding variable: the growth of plants c) Constant variable : type and size of plant, surrounding temperature.

PROCEDURE
1)

Two similar potted balsam

plants are labelled P and Q.

2)

Plant P is placed outdoors and

watered every day for one

week.

CONTINUE
3) Plant Q is placed outdoors and
not watered for one week. 4) The condition of both plants are

observed after one week.

OBSERVATION
PLANT P Q OBSERVATION The plant has grown healthily. The plant has wited.

CONCLUSION
Plants need water to live.
