Wednesday gross motor activity, the children made snow angels indoors since it was too cold to go outside. Each child lay down on the piece of paper to hear how it sounded while he or she moved their arms and legs mimicking making a snow angel. Sam (40 months) incorporated Indiana Foundation P.3.7 Explore the environment while making his snow angel. He liked the sound of the paper while he moved his arms and legs.

Reese (32 months) incorporated Indiana Foundation P.3.12 Perform locomotor and non-locomotor skills at a basic level while making her snow angel.

On Thursday, the children slid through the snow while walking and walked through deep snow by lifting their legs up high. This had the children exploring the snow in different ways. In the picture on the right, Anika (23 months) slid through the deep snow. This fulfilled Indiana Foundation P.3.7 Explore the environment.
