Jaye Smith Triangle Class Instruments Week 5 February 3-7, 2014 This week I had dramatic play.

. Since the theme was music I decided to do a music store. The music store had bells, drumsticks, and keyboards in it, as well as a sign designating that it was a music store for the week. Marlowe (34 months) and Karson (22 months) played bells with one of the assistant teachers. This fulfills Indiana Foundation FA.1.44 Engage in cooperative pretend play with another child.

Sloane (8 months) played with and explored the drumsticks from the dramatic play area. With our assistance and direction, she pounded the sticks on the ground like she was beating a drum. This fulfills Indiana Foundation FA.1.33 Pretend through role play.

Karson (22 months), Reese (33 months), and Marlowe (34 months) play in a band with one of the assistant teachers using bells and drumsticks. This fulfills Indiana Foundation FA.1.101 Use various art forms such as dance, theater, and visual arts as a vehicle for creative expression.
