(3) Ethical Conduct Toward Students. (D) Standard 3.4.The educator shall not exclude student from participation in a program, deny benefits to a student, or grant an advantage to a student on the basis of race, color, gender, disability, national origin, religion, family status, or sexual orientation. A teachers ethics is one of the most powerful things that he/she can hold. Their ethics pretty much show their professionalism while working. Ethics are branches of knowledge that deal with our moral principles. A good teacher has to apply his/her ethics while working; this allows him or her to have a better relationship with his or her students. As a teacher I have to make sure that there are no bias in my classroom. As a teacher I have to follow all ethics, but the one I will concentrate the most is standard 3.4. This ethics states that the teacher shall not exclude students from participation in a program. There will not be preferences in my classroom and all students are going to be treated equally. To me all students are the same and this code of ethics is the most essential and all educators should follow it.
