My name is Aaron Matis. I am a sophomore and I am running for Press Chair.

Over the past three semesters, I have noticed a gap between StuCos publicity efforts and overall campus awareness of StuCo events/programs. On several occasions, I received information regarding StuCos public meetings that I would have attended had I not been notified by word of mouth rather than Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. I believe Swarthmore should have a recognizable, memorable presence on all forms of social media. I believe I possess the creativity, passion, and willingness to make different aspects of StuCo information more accessible and more interesting to the StuBod (Student Body). It is my hope that given my efforts, I will be able to promote a more active and engaged StuCo-StuBod relationship. Finally, classmates, this is not a drill. I will work hard to make the StuCo-StuBod relationship something it has never been; something I believe it can be; something fun, stimulating, and productive. Remember: Ideas are just a multiplier of execution. I have plenty of ideas and even more passion for execution. Let me help making this coming year a blast. Aaron, Out
