Kerri Trecartin was a student intern at Evergreen Park School fro !anuary to May 2nd" #er internshi$ involved teaching in a %r" & English class and teaching 'anguage (rts in a %r" 4 )rench * ersion class" +uring her 1, week $eriod, Kerri taught in the following su-.ect areas/ the co $onents of 0eading and 1riting in 'anguage (rts, Mathe atics, Social Studies and Science" Kerri engaged in Tea Teaching activities, *ndividual Teaching, and instructing children who are on SEP2s" Kerri was res$onsi-le for designing units, including the differentiation of the student learning -ased on individual and grou$ needs" So e of these were running a 3ook 4lu5'iterature 4ircles6, creating an 7ly $ic -ased $ro.ect and teaching su aries" Kerri also $artici$ated in Tea Teaching -y working with grou$s and8or individuals during 1riting 4onferences and Math $eriods" Kerri is aware of the need to use differentiation using the 9+' odel when teaching a class of diverse students" She showed insight into understanding the acade ic and e otional needs of the students" Kerri develo$ed and carried out intervention grou$s as re:uired throughout her individual teaching res$onsi-ility and during tea teaching" Kerri2s classroo anage ent strengthened as she -eca e ore co forta-le with the routines, e;$ectations and knowledge of the students" She shows consistency and fairness" Kerri de onstrates res$ect for the students and the teaching $rofession" She consistently evaluates her teaching, critically analy<ing the $ositive ele ents and recogni<ing how to i $rove a lesson" Kerri $artici$ated fully in Professional +evelo$ ent +ays, Staff Meetings and Tea Meetings" #er in$ut was valued and acce$ted -y her colleagues" Through the course of her internshi$, Kerri has shown that she is a teacher of any strengths, and a teacher who enthusiastically takes on new challenges to continuously i $rove her teaching skills as a lifelong learner"
