We Remember Them with Pride By Christopher Erickson Our ancestors said good-bye To places they knew so well. They journey to America. Their story is important to tell! These immigrants continued to come And the cities grew tall and wide. The newcomers inspired our nation. e remember them with pride!

As continue our studies about people and places in American history! we are learning that the "nited #tates is a land o$ people who ha%e many di$$erent ethnic origins! meaning our ancestors came $rom all o%er the world. &mmigrants 'people who settle in a new country( came $rom Europe! Asia! Central and #outh America! A$rica! etc. in hopes o$ starting a new li$e in America. )eople ha%e been settling in the "nited #tates $or hundreds o$ years. *our ancestors! unless you are a descendant o$ a +ati%e American tribe! are $rom other countries in our world.
