In the area of Barrios Altos 50 % live in rented house , 38% in their own homes and 12% in possession and others in Alameda Los Barefoot in the Rmac 43 % live in their own home and 35 % home alkylated and 2% in possession or other . In the area of Monserrate 47 % live in their own home , 44% in rented and 8% in possession or another. The mapping results show very high very high vulnerability trends in Barrios Altos ( 73%), followed by Monserrate ( 51%) and Alameda de Los Descalzos ( 3%) ( although there is a large area of nonresidential use in the latter ) . and the City of Lima for 2009 states that " ( ... ) the total slum , ruinous and at risk of collapse totaling 5,500 homes throughout the Historic Center , 50 % are in the Barrios Altos " and continues " ( ... ) as well as the Barrios Altos neighborhood Monserrate is a historic area, inhabited by low-income people suffering from security problems, and slums , homes in danger of collapse. A total of 28 monuments (25 heritage buildings and 3 Monumental urban environments), mostly of the sixteenth to the eighteenth century (colonial era), which are entirely within the declared UNESCO Cultural World Heritage area was recognized. By city ordinance have qualified this total 9 monuments as "ruinous farms" and 12 microzones treatment for his poor state of disrepair.

Exist within the scope of Barrios Altos 299 structural units , of which 60% is exposed to a risk level Very High , and therefore could collapse , it is estimated that 45 % of these units suffer structural

collapse by the intensity of the earthquake and the great precariousness of existing buildings . (See Table 27 ) .

Lots that have a Very High risk level are mostly in a quadrant formed by the Wisps Junn, Paruro , Amazon and Maynas . The 5.35 % of the existing structural units is exposed to a risk level High , of which an estimated 2.7% may suffer severe structural damage that would compromise its stability. While 19.4% of these units is exposed to the mean level of risk , are located mostly between Paruro , Junn, and Miroquesada Cangallo shreds . It is considered that this level to 5% may have moderate structural damage. Instead, the blocks located in the low risk level are 15 % of which 1% presented minor damage. Affected population . Barrios Altos has a population of 8180 inhabitants , of which , during the day, remain in the area 3941 residents exposed to the possibility of an earthquake and ddistribuidas are at different risk levels as follows : (See Table No. 28)

50% of this population would be affected , those affected , 43% may die by crushing and / or suffocation due to the collapse of structures or the tumult of people trying to get to saved; 1.24% suffer serious damage limb by falling walls , cornices, pircas pots, etc . , which require hospital treatment. The 5.78 % suffer slight damage trying to get out of the structural units aggravated by panic and despair. The night scenery population stays overnight is 6542 inhabitants at risk , the same that are distributed in different levels of risk as seen in the following table : (See Table No. 29) It is estimated that 50% of those affected could crush death due to collapse of structures, 1.4% of the affected population would suffer serious harm to physical integrity by falling walls, cornices, pircas pots, etc.. or panic and desperation of people trying to get out of the structural units and require hospital treatment; 5.26% suffer from mild to moderate injuries.
