The Soundtrack of My Life

Did you know that the average person listens to 13 years worth of music before they die?
That is an amaing fact! and " believe that music is a very important part of people#s lives$ Music
has had a huge impact on my life$ Through the songs %Live a Little% by &enny 'hesney! %This%
by Darius (ucker! and %The 'heap Seats% by )labama! " have been able to hold onto some
awesome memories from my childhood and the songs have taught me some important life
lessons$
To begin! here is some important background information about myself$ " lived in and
attended school in Dayton! *hio from the time " was in preschool to the time " was in the fourth
grade$ During the summer before " started fifth grade! my family moved to +aynesville! *hio$
During the years that " lived in Dayton! every summer " would attend about twelve Dayton
Dragons games$ "n the years since " have moved! " rarely get the chance to go to a Dragons
game$
The song %The 'heap Seats% by )labama has helped me remember the e,periences of
being at -ifth Third -ield$ My strongest memory of being at -ifth Third -ield is when " raced
.eater around the bases in/between innings$ " remember that the night was hot and " had
chocolate flavored Dip and Dots$ " beat .eater around the bases$ "t was the -ourth of 0uly and
there were fireworks after the game$
1very time " would go to -ifth Third -ield! my family would always sit in the cheap
seats/ %Lawn )%/ right ne,t to the visitors bullpen and along the first base line$ The song is
accurate about how fans at a minor league game feel %+e don#t worry about the pennant much$2

win 4)labama 176%$ "n my mind! the whole point of going to a Dragons game is to have a good
time! laugh! smile! and watching the boys play some ball$ The song helps me remember a place
that has a special spot in my heart$

remember the first time " heard the song$ " was riding in the car with my mom on the way home
from &roger$ +e were getting the cake for my birthday party on the ne,t day$ 8ut when " heard
the song on the radio! it really stuck out to me! and " automatically wanted to find out what the
song was called +hen " got home " 9uickly googled one of the main lines %" need to live a little!

new favorite song$
)s " listened to the song more! " began to understand why " likes the song so much$ The
song is based on rela,ing and having fun$ Don#t worry about the stress and things that are going
on around you$ The song had a big impact on me because at that time in my life " was really
stressed out with school and 3ust wanted the school year to end$

automatically touched me and " really liked it$ The song 3ust made me daydream off about how
lucky " am to have the people around me that stick with me through it all$ Life is always
changing and one little thing can change how things go in a huge way$ %" don#t really know how "

Music is really important to me and these are three songs that have influenced me to be
the person that " am today$ Music is always around us$ Music sends different messages to each of
