The American writer Stephen Edwin King was born in

Portland, Maine on September 21th, 1947. His mother Nellie


Ruth and his father Donald King, but his parents got
separated; Stephen King also has a brother named Donald.
During his childhood he lived with her mother Nellie and his
brother. Since his parents separated He had to move to many
cities during his childhood. When he finished high school he
attended to the University of Made at Oromo. In his years at
the University he used to write a column for the school
newspaper. He graduated in 1970 and got a bachelor of art in
English that allowed him to teach at a high school level. When
he was at the University, he met to his future wife Tabitha
spruce, and he got married in 1971. At the beginning he could
not find a job as teacher, so he worked in an industrial laundry
to pay his doubts from the University.
Related to his works as a writer he started to write short
stories for a mens magazine. Then he found a work as a
teacher, and he started to have more time for writing his
novels. The first one was Carrie published in 1973. Nowadays
Stephen king is known as the king of horror.
