The Apple I, Apple's first product, was sold
as an assembled circuit board and lacked
basic features such as a keyboard, monitor,
and case. The owner of this unit added a
keyboard and a wooden case.

The Macintosh Portable was Apple's first
"portable" Macintosh computer, released in
1989.


The Newton was Apple's first foray into
the PDA markets, as well as one of the first in
the industry. Despite being a financial flop at
the time of its release, it helped pave the way
for the Palm Pilot and Apple's own
iPhone and iPad in the future.



The MacBook Pro, Apple's first laptop with
an Intel microprocessor, announced in
January 2006.
