    EARTHQUAKE OF MODERATE INTENSITY SHOOK

    HUANCAYO









    EL quake occurred at 23:36 pm Wednesday, centered 8
    miles southwest of Huancayo (Junn). According to the
    Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP), the tremor had a
    magnitude of 4.4 degrees on the Richter scale and occurred
    at a depth of 120 kilometers.
    Another tremor was 4 degrees and was recorded at 132
    kilometers deep. The quake occurred exactly at 04:10 pm
    and was centered 38 kilometers south of Huancayo, Junn.
