This Week in Review

Our first class project was posted on the
DonorsChoose website this week. DonorsChoose.org
is a non-profit organization that helps teachers
seek funding for various supplies needed in the
classroom. Our project can be found on the
donorschoose.org website by searching our state
and city. I will keep you up-to-date as we progress
towards our goal. As a bonus, when someone
donates to our project (by Mon., April 28th) and
enters the code 100WOMEN, 100 Women in Hedge
Funds will match their donation dollar for dollar.
Feel free to share this information with family and
friends.
We worked with the -an word family. Students
practiced blending the individual sounds to form the
words.
We added the letters Gg, Ff and Kk to our studies.
We worked with the high frequency word is.
Math tubs this week focused on subtraction, 3D
shapes and measurement.
I will be sending home a skills progress sheet on
Monday detailing the objectives your child still
needs to master between now and the end of the
school year. If possible, please provide your child
with extra support in the areas that are checked. I
am extremely pleased the progress all of the kids
have made this year. Thank you for your support!
The Kindergarten Spring Program is scheduled for
Friday, May 30th at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Unlike
the Christmas program, our class will perform
during both time slots.
Due to the excessive number of snow days this
year, the last day of school for students has been
moved to Monday, June 8.
