How Has My Life Changed by Meeting You
The person who has the biggest influence of me is a world teacher history who I like to
call Ms.Serrano. Even though I did not have Ms.Serrano as a teacher she still led a big influence
on my life. She was my advisor for HYLC. I had no idea what an advisor even was because this
was the first time I ever joined a club. But Im glad she was my first advisor.
Befor I meet Ms.Serrano I really didnt have any close bonds with any teachers in which
I can tell them problems that are going on with my life or which I can just have a nice chat with.
Me and teachers didnt really talk they just saw me as some random student who was in there
class. Ms. Serrano has shown its better to get along with your teachers and it has help become
more closer with my teachers and able to talk to them when it is needed. Ms. Serrano has the
features any teacher has in which they help their students strive for success. But she was
different she helped any student and help them break them out of their shell. Shes like a second
mom to me in which I can tell her anything that I need help with. Ms.Serrano and I have had
many conversations in which some are silly and some are serious in which she knows the right
words to say. Ms.Serrano doesnt teach at Merced High School and she now teaches at Buhach
Colony High School. Even though I dont see her as frequently as I used to my junior year of
high school. I still see her my senior year thanks to her still being a HYLC advisor at Buhach in
which our clubs meets each during HYLC events.
