GHOST OF CANTERVILLE

Lord Canterville sells his grand old house to the Otis family.
Mister and Missis Otis and their four children.There is a ghost in the house
since three hundred years ago and Lord Canterville alert them but they dont
have fear.
There is a bloodstain on the library floor that always comes
back to appear after clean it. Mrs Umney the housekeeper tells them that it is
the blood of !leanor de Canterville murdered for his husband "imon de
Canterville who disappeared some years later and nobody ever found his body.
The ghost tries to frighten the Otis family with different tricks
disguises and strange noises but he always finishes very angry and unhappy
hidden in his room.
#t first Mr Otis tries to help the ghost giving him a bottle of oil
for his chains because they do very much noise but the twins are not so good
with him. They put many traps all over the house like butter on the top stair or
nutshells along the passages. They create a false ghost to frighten him. They
attack him with a pea$ shooters shooting little balls of paper etc..
#fter a few days without news of the ghost %irginia meets him
in a room which is not often used and feels sorry for him.
#t last the ghost finds rest. &e cant sleep. &e takes a long time
this way and hes very tired. There are an inscriptions on the library window.
Only a pure heart can help and pray and cry for him and for all the bad thing he
has done. 'eath will be kind to him. (othing bad it will happen to her. "he
follows him through a great black hole.
%irginia doesnt come for tea and all her family starts to worry.
"he tells them she has been with the ghost and hes dead. &e was really sorry
for everything that he had done. They take the ghost to the cementery. %irginia
marries the young 'uke of Cheshire.
